SALVATION - Summer (Usa '75)

RARE 1975 PRIVATE PRESS FROM NEW JERSEY BAND WHO HAD ONE EARILER 45 ON UA. VERY WELL RECORDED JAZZY/FUNKY MELODIC ROCK WITH HORNS, WITH EARLY CHICAGO BEING THE OBVIOUS INSPIRATION. ABOUT HALF ORIGINALS AND COVERS WITH A GOOD HEAVY PSYCH WORKOUT ON HENDRIX "I DONT LIVE TODAY" (1975 WAS QUITE LATE IN THE GAME FOR THIS SORT OF THING), A SEEMING TRIBUTE TO JOE COCKER TAKE ON "A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS" AND POSSIBLY THE ONLY COVER EVER OF BEATLE PAUL MCCARTNEY'S "MONKBERRY MOON DELIGHT". COOL LABEL NAME, ALSO THEIR PUBLISHING COMPANY IS NAMED "STARVATION"
